Short Synopsis:Hirayama is a business executive and a family man. When his close friend’s daughter decides to live in with her lover without the family’s consent, he acts as a sympathetic ear for her. Will he realise his hypocrisy and mistake and finally accept his daughter’s decision? This was the first ever colour film directed by Ozu.
