The Japan Foundation announces “Japanese Language and Culture Course – Second Semester” 

The course will start from the 1st week of January 2016 and will continue till 1st week of May 2016.

 

Course Instructions, Rules and Regulations

1. Eligibility

1. Applicants must be 18 years of age as of the Nov. 21, 2015 (Class III & IV) and Nov 23, 2015 (Class I & II)
2. Those who have no prior knowledge in Japanese.
3. Those who are able to communicate in English.
 

2.  Course Details

1. Textbook : “Marugoto A1 -Japanese Language and Culture [Activity]”
2. Textbook & material fee : INR 600
3. Venue : The Japan Foundation, New Delhi               
4. Class size : 15 people
5. Lessons that fall on public holidays may be shifted to alternative dates.
6. If you are absent for 2 or more lessons in a row without informing, you cannot continue the course.
7. Attendance ratio of 70% is needed to obtain a certificate of completion of the course.
8. The Japan Foundation does not offer JLPT preparatory Courses.

4.  Application Process and Course Fee Payment

Please pay attention to these rules as the Application Process has been changed. Revised Application Form has been attached. Kindly use this form.

Download the Application Form & Course Instructions from the website or obtain it from the JF reception (GF).  

Please fill up the Application Form and submit it to the JF reception on specified date ONLY.

We DO NOT accept submission of forms via mail.

Form Submission has to be done IN PERSON by the candidate himself/herself.

Make sure you write the correct phone number and Email address in the form. The Japan Foundation may use these to communicate with you.

It is mandatory to attach a Passport size photograph on the form.

Applicants applying for different batches will submit the form in accordance with the batch timings. Any Applicant applying for Class I or II cannot submit on Nov 21st or vice versa.

There will be 2 screenings – first, based on the Form Evaluation and second, a Personal interview.

After receiving Application Form, an Acknowledgement Slip will be given to each candidate. DO NOT LOSE THIS SLIP AT ANY COST. ONCE LOST, YOUR APPLICATION IS CANCELLED ON THE SPOT.

The Acknowledgement Slip will contain a specific Form Number. The candidate will use this number as a reference to check results on the website (www.jfindia.org.in/) and The Japan Foundation Notice Board at the Reception (Ground Floor). There will be no phone calls or mails from The Japan Foundation.

The first screening result will be announced over the website and Notice Board on Nov 24, 2015 by 4:00 PM.

If your Form No. is on the list, you will have to come to The Japan Foundation for Personal Interview in the time slot given to you on the result list. The interviews will be conducted from Nov 26 to 30, 2015. Bring 1 passport size photograph, ID and Address Proof along with you.

If you fail to come or are late for the interview, no interview will be conducted. The interview result will be out on the website and the notice board as above. The candidates will have to come for the fee payment on the designated dates- Dec 7-11, 2015.

The registration of those who failed to pay the fee by the designated day will be cancelled.

No calls/queries regarding the result or application status will be entertained.

The decision of The Japan Foundation is final.
