The Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan has pursued happiness as its core development philosophy for the last four decades – giving more importance to people’s well being rather than only focusing on the country’s economic growth. This unique approach of GNH over GDP has ushered unprecedented development in Bhutan, where the sense of values and culture (despite modernization) are still strong at the heart of its people. GNH is not only holistic but also a well balanced approach, which is working wonders in the tiny Kingdom of Bhutan.
