How I felt in participating in the Japanese Speech Contest
I was very delighted to speak in the Japanese speech contest. I also came to know about the other children learning Japanese in other schools. One change I want to bring in this contest is that the Japanese speech's translation should be there in English after the speech and the timings should be convenient.
I was very excited before going there in the hall. When I went there arrangements were very nice. The hall was looking very beautiful. There were many students from different schools; children were performing very confidently and nicely. First before going there
I was thinking that I will not be able to understand anything but after going there some paper were distributed in which everybody's speech was translated into English.
We all were feeling very hungry so refreshments were also given. I was very exited to see the Japanese people there I want that this type of contests must be held in the schools from now onwards. And from next time I will also like to participate. Going there was a great experience.
I wanted to bring to notice of the Japanese Embassy to select more children whenever the next competition is held. The items should be increased and the topics should be widespread so that each topic would not be inter-related and the audiences can take full fun of the contest. Moreover, the items should also be translated so that everybody can understand the literal as well as emotional aims of the songs and plays. Some Japanese dances should be shown. A few examples of the floral designs, Ikebana can also be illustrated.
Being an audience of the contest I enjoyed this contest very much. I wish I could also take part in this contest and win prizes and most amazing thing I liked was that we, the Indians can also talk in Japanese. From the contest I came to know about many things for e.g.
Problems in school
My family members etc.
In this contest I got an idea of talking in Japanese.
Our school came second but we are not sad because the main thing was to participate and to be there.
And next year I would like to participate rather than sitting there as audience.
I am thinking of taking part in this speech contest next year.
I think you should tell us something about Japanese festivals by an illustrature method. You should also translate those Japanese plays and songs into English.
We were given a booklet. It contained the English translation of the speech.
One best thing about that program was the song sang by DPS, RK Puram and Indirapuram our school came second but still I am not sad because the main thing was to participating next years, I wanted to participating in the speech contest rather than sitting in the audiences.
Contest of Japanese language was hosted by my school children of different schools participated in it and shared their views with us It was pretty much a learning experience for us. I hope that I participate in this contest next time. I also enjoyed the song.
Next time, I also want to participate in that program. The song which DPS, Indiraouram was very melodies and that tune really touched my heart.
I liked the speech of Jyoti arora and I will definitely take part in that competition.
I liked the program especially the last part that was songs of all the schools. I want to participate in it.
When my name was announced, I was taken a back. Then on coming to my senses,
I felt on top of the world. I felt very happy to receive a praize.
Back at school, when Principal ma'am hugged me, Iknow that my face was glowing.
I reached home told my parents and they were very happy.
Everybody else got the consolation. But consolation prizes were also very nice.
I did my best but according to them I was not so good.
At last I want to say that participation is more important that winning.
