The regular course offers you an opportunity to develop your communicative skills in the Japanese language. This is achieved through class interaction and active participation in tasks using Japanese. The course also focuses on exploring various aspects of Japanese culture and society as part of a class activity.

2. Classes Level 

(1) “Introductory Conversation (A1 Katsudo)”-Class1, 2
This class is designed for beginners and is focused on speaking and listening. After completion, you will be able to handle short social exchanges on topics from everyday life.

(2) “Introductory Script and Grammar (A1 Rikai)”-Class3, 4
This class is ideal for learners who have completed Introductory Conversation (A1 Katsudo) or have an equivalent proficiency level.  After completion of this class, you will be able to read and write short sentences on topics from everyday life.

(3) “Elementary Conversation and Grammar (A2-1 Katsudo & Rikai)”-Class5, 6 
This class is for learners who have completed Introductory Script and Grammar (A1 Rikai) or have an equivalent proficiency level. After completion of the course, you will be able to handle short social exchanges related to everyday life, use a series of simple phrases in conversations and will be able to write short simple sentences regarding activities you did or places you went.

(4) “Elementary Conversation and Grammar (A2-2 Katsudo & Rikai)” –Class7, 8
This class is for learners who have completed Elementary Conversation and Grammar (A2-1 Katsudo & Rikai) or have an equivalent proficiency level. After completion of this course, you can describe your routine, work or learning experience, communicate over familiar topics exchanging information. You will also be able to extract necessary information from brochure/ simple letters and write short messages.

(5) “Pre-Intermediate Conversation and Grammar (A2/ B1)” –Class9
This class is for learners who have completed Elementary Conversation and Grammar (A2-2 Katsudo & Rikai) or have an equivalent proficiency level. After completion of this course, you can express your feelings and consider listeners’ points of view. You will also be able to describe in simple terms aspects of your background, immediate environment, and matters in areas of immediate need.

(6) Intermediate Conversation and Grammar (B1)” – Class 10
This class is for learners who have completed Pre-Intermediate Conversation and Grammar (A2/B1) or have an equivalent proficiency level. After completion of this course, you can give a prepared straightforward presentation on a familiar topic within his/her field, and perform more complex conversations.

Within 20 students per class

4. Eligibility:
(1) Those who are 18 years of age or above
(2) Those who are able to communicate in English
(3) Those who have enrolled in the Minato Website of Japanese Language.

5. Class Schedule
Twice a week: 32 lessons/semester (each lesson for 2 hours)
